Hello! My name is Alicia Dimas and I am originally from Mexico. I have lived in Hayes Center, Nebraska for 23 years. I am married and we have 3 kids, 3 grandchildren, and a son-in-law. In my free time I love to read, cook, crochet, Spanish, and dance. I received my degree in Bilingual Accounting Assistant Secretary while I was still in Mexico. My first job in Hayes Center was babysitting for the Clifford boys and 2 more kids. Then, in the 1990s I started working at the school as a custodian. I was a custodian for four years and then took the Para-educator position. This will be my 23rd year with Hayes Center Public Schools. I love working with all students from Pre-k - 12th grade, because I understand the struggles you go through for a better education, especially coming from a country that struggles to give a good education to their students. I love working with the kids in Spanish classes and I hope one day we can teach it in the Elementary also. I hope to complete more college credits this year to work toward a college degree.
