 BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

APRIL 22, 2013

1:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER:

A Special meeting of the Board of Education for the Hayes Center Public Schools District #43-0079 was held on Monday, April 22, 2013 in the Conference Room at the High School. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication and posted in accordance with the Board policy of giving notice of such meetings. Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all Board members.

ROLL CALL- President Anderjaska called the meeting to order at 1:05 P.M. with Superintendent Ron Howard, and Board members Joe Anderjaska, Connie Brott, Britt Hill, Marian Richards and Bob Rosno present. Eric Hill was absent.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by those in attendance.

RECOGNITION OF OPEN MEETINGS ACT POSTER -The Open Meetings Act Poster was in the room and recognized by President Anderjaska.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA: Brott moved, seconded by B. Hill, to adopt the agenda striking Action Items 1 and 2 and acting only on Action Item 3. Voting yes: Anderjaska, Brott,  B.Hill, Richards, Rosno. Voting no:  None.  Absent: E. Hill. Motion passed 5-0 with 1 absent.

ACTION ITEMS- CONSIDER AND TAKE SUCH ACTION AS IS NECESSARY TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT REGARDING MR. FRECKS- B. Hill moved, seconded by Richards, to consider and take such action as is necessary to approve an agreement regarding Mr. Frecks- Voting yes: Brott, B. Hill, Richards, Anderjaska. Voting no:  Rosno. Absent: E. Hill. Motion passed 4-1 with 1 absent.

DISCUSSION- JR. HIGH BOYS FALL SPORTS-Mr. Howard will be checking options with other schools and have a report at the regular May meeting.

President Anderjaska adjourned the meeting at 1:46 P.M.

The next regular scheduled meeting of the Board of Education will be May 13, 2013 at 7:00 P.M.
